The Trail Blazers are among the best in the West, but against the Bucks – the second best team in the East – Portland certainly did not show it.
In a night of rest, the Blazers' short winning streak was ruined by a 143-100 loss to the Bucks. Milwaukee's efforts were led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who scored 33 points and added 16 rebounds for a double-double. Khris Middleton had 21 points and Eric Bledsoe and Malcolm Brogdon scored 16.

The loss was the the most important by a conference officer since the East and West Conferences were established in 1970-1971.
The result had great consequences for both teams. The Bucks (13-4) are getting closer to the Raptors, who are at the top of the standings with a 14-4 record after a 124-108 win over the Hawks, and the Blazers (12-6) have been dropped by the 12- 5 Grizzlies.
Memphis defeated San Antonio after two free throws by Marc Gasol.
The Grizzles took advantage of the Blazers' worst defeat of the season and took advantage of Mike Conley's win to mark his fifth consecutive victory in the last 30 minutes to beat Portland and Golden State.

Trail Blazers (12-6) at Warriors (12-7) ET – In the wake of the defeat against the Bucks for the Blazers and another defeat at Golden State, Friday's meeting between two of the best Western teams will be interesting to say the least. The Warriors have lost just two games at Oracle Arena – including the 123-95 loss to the Thunder on Wednesday – and are trying to bounce back after a difficult time. The Blazers are just over .500 (5-4) on the road, and it will take the efforts of all five Portland starters to get the Blazers back on track.
