Laura Loomer, a conservative media brand, said she was removed from Twitter after accusing the newly elected Democrat House representative, Ilhan Omar, of being anti-Jewish, pro-Sharia and favorable to female genital mutilation.

Loomer's report was suspended Wednesday night shortly after the journalist attacked Omar, one of the first two Muslim women to be elected to Congress. Its withdrawal from the platform follows a series of controversial bans as part of the ongoing crusade against Twitter "hateful behavior" and "Bots" – with critics calling the actions of the company an assault against freedom of expression. The withdrawal of the site by Alex Jones, conspiracy connoisseur, was followed by a series of suspensions targeting alternative media.

Loomer, who is no stranger to stir up controversy over social media, wrote that he was "ironic" that Omar became the child of the poster "women, LGBTQ and minorities" while accusing the new representative of Minnesota of being pro-Sharia, anti-Jewish and pro-MGF.

Omar's position on genital mutilation was discussed following the mid-term elections. Right-wing publications have reported that the legislator opposed a bill that would have toughened the sentences imposed on parents who subjected their children to horrible ritual when she was sitting in Minnesota. House of Representatives.

While Omar initially opposed the bill, calling the publicity stunt and urging lawmakers to enforce existing laws to punish parents, she eventually voted for the bill, which ultimately was not adopted by the Senate.

Omar's views on Israel are more ambiguous and seem to change slightly depending on the audience. At a forum of Democratic candidates held in Beth El Synagogue in August, Omar designated the BDS movement (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions). "Cons-active" and an obstacle on the path of reconciliation.

However, a week after entering history by becoming an American representative, Omar's office told the Muslim Girl website that she "believes in and supports the BDS movement" although that with "Reservations."

In an old tweet of 2012, which resurfaced after his election, Omar criticized Israel for conducting a large-scale military operation in Gaza that resulted in many casualties among Palestinian civilians.

"Israel hypnotized the world, Allah awakens the people and helps to see the evil deeds of Israel" Omar tweeted at the time.

Meanwhile, Loomer, whose Facebook and Instagram accounts still work, said she had been banned permanently from Twitter. Speaking to the Daily Beast about his suspension, Loomer urged President Donald Trump to "to have wind" of the situation, pretending to be "martyr for the cause."

A host of prominent conservative commentators have defended Loomer, while accusing Twitter of perpetuating its alleged bias against conservative voices.

Proponents of Trump and the president himself have long argued that Twitter was disproportionately repressing the Conservatives, while some liberal commentators no less controversial were spared from the purge.

While recalling the hypocrisy of Twitter, many pointed out that the account of the leader of the Nation of Islam (NOI), Louis Farrakhan, who recently compared the Jews to termites, has still not been removed.

Some mentioned the case of NYT technical columnist Sarah Jeong, whose racist tweets of 2014 were uncovered after being hired by the newspaper. In a tweet of July 2014, Jeong wrote "It's a little sick of the joy I feel by being cruel to the old whites." She also boasted a #CancelWhitePeople hashtag.

However, unlike many conservative celebrities, the journalist has retained her position.
