Thanksgiving is traditionally considered a family moment.

Google Doodle

Google Doodle celebrated Thanksgiving on Thursday as Americans joined friends and family for the annual harvest season feast.

It's been 20 years since the search giant first marked the holidays with simple turkey clip art in 1998.

George Washington, the first president of the United States, formalized this nearly 400-year-old tradition each year in 1789 and became a federal holiday of President Abraham Lincoln in 1863.

The Thanksgiving date passed on the fourth Thursday of November under President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1941 and she is now associated with turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie and getting ready to make a good deal black friday.

If you're looking for entertainment over the holidays, Google Play is offering $ 1 movie rentals and many other inexpensive entertainment options.
