Meek Mill shares two new songs and plays Jimmy Fallon

Here at PhillyVoice, we are grateful for the good Thanksgiving music, and Meek Mill decided to get into the holiday spirit on Wednesday night when he made an appearance at the Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show.

Mill, in front of his latest studio album "Championships", has performed a new song called "Oodles O'Noodles Babies", which is kind of a funny title but is actually a rather introspective look at how it happened where he is.

Mill opens the song, which is backed by a casual sample, with this knockout quartet:

"Nobody gives me any hope / I hope my mother does not make a coke / I wish I had lived with my father / I dreamed of seeing him with ghosts."

So that's where he is right now.

You can watch his performance, which includes a "shoutout to the whole city of Philadelphia", here:

Fans of Meek's typical rat-to-tat cast will be happy to hear that nothing has changed after more than a year of music streaming. On both "Oodles O'Noodles" and on the second track, "Uptown Vibes", he still flies over his trademark register as if there was an invisible deadline.

The second song, Uptown Vibes, brings a little Latin influence to the film, against the backdrop of the "stars mix with latin styles" wave, such as remix of last year's hit Justin Bieber, Despacito, and Mi Gente's remix by Beyoncé.

It's a good three minutes of rap to the stinging chest, tinged with horn, quite different from the usual radio feed.

You can listen below:

"Championships" will be available on November 30 via Maybach Music and Atlantic.
