ATLANTA (AP) – A man who, according to his passengers, made an anti-Semitic statement aboard a Delta Air Lines flight was arrested.

Police arrested 34-year-old David Toaff in Washington on Wednesday after his flight from Washington arrived in Atlanta.

WXIA – TV reported that police had met the plane and that Toaff had been charged with obstructing the police and driving disorderly.

Passengers say that Toaff began making statements against Jews during the flight and asked all Jews to raise their hands to identify them.

At least one viewer posted a video of Toaff's arrest on social media.

Delta, based in Atlanta, confirms that the police encountered the theft "because of the behavior of the customer aboard the flight".

The records show that Toaff remained imprisoned Thursday morning in Clayton County. We do not know if he has a lawyer.
