TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – UPDATE: Topeka police said Shaquan R. Mitchell, 16, was safe after the Thanksgiving Morning Alert Amber.
According to police officers, Mitchell was taken to the law enforcement center by a member of his family. He is interrogated and is unhurt.
The identified suspect, 19-year-old Trayvon Williams, was arrested by officers and is also questioned.
Lt. Jennifer Cross said that the second suspect, who was wearing only a red hooded sweatshirt covered to cover his face, was not identified and was not detained, unlike what was originally announced.
Mitchell was reportedly taken from his home under threat of a gun during an armed robbery at 1175 Woodhull SO just after 12.30 pm Thursday.
The officers say that the men had a silver handgun, ordered everyone to fall to the ground and kidnapped the teenager under the threat of a revolver.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation issued an AMBER alert just after 6am. According to the testimony of the time, the wireless system would have worked for the counties of Shawnee, Jackson, Jefferson, Douglas, Wabaunsee and Osage.

Authorities issued an Amber alert for a Topeka teenager who had been taken from his home under threat of a firearm.
According to Topeka police, Shaquan R. Mitchell, 16, was taken by two men who broke into her home at 11:45 am NWT Woodhull shortly after 12:30 pm Thursday. They say the men had a silver handgun, ordered everyone to get to the ground and abducted the teenager under the threat of a gun.
Mitchell is a black man, 6 feet tall and 175 pounds tall. Her hair is black and her eyes brown. The last time we saw him, he was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.
The authorities believe that one of the suspects is 19-year-old Trayvon Williams. He is a black man, 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 172 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing all the black and trying to hide his face with a blue bandana.
They do not know the name of the other man, but said he was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt hidden in front of his face.
Authorities have not specified the type of vehicle they could be in. The last time they were seen, they left the house on foot. They also took a TV from the house.
