Hugh Jackman can not wait for the Marvel Studios X-Men

Hugh Jackman may have finished playing Wolverine, but that does not mean he's not confident in the future of the franchise, especially since Fox has finally merged with Disney. We do not know when and if we will see the X-Men interact with the Avengers, but with Kevin Feige at the helm, Jackman has little doubt.

During a long and fun interview with MTV NewsJosh Horowitz asked Jackman for his opinion on the merger. "As a fan, are you curious to see what X-Men will look like in Kevin Feige's hands?" (Feige, of course, is the president of Marvel Studios and the main person you have to thank for the success of the MCU.)

Jackman did not delay responding with a "100%" resounding. He explained that Feige was there at the very beginning of his Wolverine career. In fact, Feige proposed to take Jackman to the airport for his first audition, even though Hugh did not think he would get the role. Jackman actually considered that his hearing was nothing more than an inducement for Dougray Scott to confirm that he would be the one to interpret Wolverine.

Feige became the director of Marvel Studios in 2007, but his career as a producer at Marvel began after Lauren Shuler Donner, for whom he had previously worked as an assistant, hired him as associate producer on X Men (2000). His comic book knowledge proved incomparable and he quickly climbed the Marvel ladder.
