An Israeli settler is suing Airbnb for its ban on registering settlements in the West Bank, taking into account the call of Israeli officials to challenge the decision.

My anit Rabinovich, who announced his colony apartment on Airbnb, filed a lawsuit against the company in a Jerusalem court Thursday. It argues that the decision represents "serious, offensive and scandalous discrimination". His lawsuit concerns contested territories where Airbnb continues to operate, such as Tibet and northern Cyprus, among others.

Rabinovich sued 15,000 shekels ($ 4,000) in damages.

The holiday rental company announced on Monday that it would eliminate 200 listings in Israeli settlements after being pressured by Palestinians and human rights groups.

The decision has prompted Israel to threaten to impose high taxes on the site. The Israeli Minister of Tourism encouraged Israelis to sue the company.
