Sadio Mané became the last Liverpool player to commit his future to the club after the Senegalese international agreed on a new long term contract.
Mané, who moved from Southampton to Anfield in 2016 for £ 34 million, is currently negotiating a new deal with Liverpool since the end of last season, but has now agreed to an agreement on a five-year deal up to ## 147 ## 39, in 2023.
"I am very happy, very happy to extend my stay in Liverpool," Mané told Liverpoolfc.com.
"It's a great day for me and I'm looking forward to everything: helping the team, helping the club realize our dreams and above all winning trophies. I always said, when I knew I had the chance to come here, I did not have to think twice. The right club at the right time and with the right coach. I came here and I was very happy. For me, I made the best decision of my career. "
Mané was one of the mainstays of the Liverpool offense this season, scoring six goals in the Premier League for Jürgen Klopp's team, with 40 goals in 89 total appearances. Aged 26, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino have signed new five-year contracts in the last 12 months.
"This is a big boost for everyone and a new demonstration of the determination of the players of this club, not only towards our present, but also towards our future," said Klopp.
"I can not imagine a single club in Europe that would not want a player like Sadio to be available, so the fact that he wants to stay with us says a lot about our current situation.
"He is such an important member of our team and our team. It radiates with joy and I think this is reflected in its performance and impact on the ground. The only criticism I can have about Sadio is that he is perhaps sometimes the only one not to see how good he is – but as an attacking player he is the complete package.
"He had a big impact when he came in, but he improved every season better and better. Its trajectory has only been ascending in terms of level and contribution. "
