On Thanksgiving Day, there was a feeling that winter was passing through winter in parts of the western and northeastern United States while heavy snow and snow were falling. Strong winds were blowing over the regions.
«Thanksgiving Day 2018 [brought] the coldest conditions from autumn to here to the northeast; he [was] Alex Sosnowski, Senior Meteorologist at AccuWeather, said:
Macy's famous Thanksgiving parade was the coldest ever recorded, with temperatures reaching 20 ° C during most of the morning in New York. AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures were even lower because of the biting winds in the area.
Providence, Rhode Island; Buffalo, New York; Hartford, Connecticut; and Bangor, Maine, are just a sample of cities that have experienced their coldest Thanksgiving ever recorded, with temperatures up to 30 degrees below normal.
Temperatures reaching -26 ° F and hurricane winds can not prevent observers from coming together to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner! * Some articles (and observers) may need a thaw! Brr! Happy Thanksgiving! #Thanksgiving #mwo #mtwashington #cold #mwob… https://t.co/8ibXNlJB7a pic.twitter.com/DwrSb1ixWN

Frigid air associated with strong winds causing hurricanes caused a temperature drop of AccuWeather RealFeel® of minus 83 F on the summit of Mount Washington, New Hampshire, Thursday morning.
For comparison, the average temperature on the surface of Mars is minus 81 F, according to NASA.
Mercury has reached record levels at the top of the mountain with weather observers the lowest temperature ever recorded on the mountain during the month of November.
While the northeastern United States shivered, the mountains of the western United States, including Sierra Nevada, California, were the first big snow of the season.
Ski resorts in the area have welcomed the snow, including Mammoth Mountain in California.
Winter conditions slowed movement in the area as some mountain passes became impassable due to heavy snow.
