The Great Falls rescue mission organized its annual Thanksgiving lunch at noon on Thursday.
Over the past month, the community has generously raised donations to make the meal possible.
The donations allowed the mission to serve a traditional Thanksgiving meal with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and even pumpkin pie with whipped cream for dessert.
A poster showing all the reasons why people are grateful for this Thanksgiving holiday was hanging on the wall where the food was served.
Shay Richter left Fort Benton to help provide families with meals.
Richter has already volunteered in Le Havre but said it was his first time attending the Rescue Mission in Great Falls.
He said, "I was lucky because my father is with me. We use it as an opportunity to get together and give back as a family. It makes me really happy to share the spirit of Thanksgiving. "
The Great Falls rescue mission has served about 300 people in the community today and about 200 people last night.
The mission serves Thanksgiving meals since their beginnings in 1963.
