FORT COLLINS, Colorado – Colorado police announced the death of two people in an accident involving a suspicious van that had fled.
Fort Collins Police Department spokesman Brandon Barnes said the driver of the suspect truck was arrested at the scene of the accident.
Barnes said the police were investigating a report about a suspicious truck on Thursday. He added that the driver had run into the truck when officers approached.
They did not pursue the truck.
Barnes said that the accident involving several cars had occurred shortly thereafter, at an intersection located about 4.83 kilometers away.
The police did not disclose any information about the arrested person or those killed. Fort Collins is located approximately 104 km north of Denver.
