WWE would have huge plans for intercontinental champion Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35 in April.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Information Bulletin (h / t Marc Middleton of WrestlingInc.com), the current plan is that Rollins faces world champion Brock Lesnar at the Showcase of the Immortals.
Rollins is in the middle of a feud with his former Shield partner, Dean Ambrose, after Ambrose turned against him and dissolved the Shield.
Meltzer's report suggesting that Rollins should face Ambrose at TLC, it is suggested that the architect surrender the title of CI to Ambrose before competing for the universal title against Lesnar.
Rollins and Lesnar have a lot of history, dating back to when they clashed in a Triple Threat match that also included John Cena at the 2015 Royal Rumble.
Two months later, Rollins cashed out his Money in the Bank contract during a WWE match between Lesnar and Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 31. Rollins won this match by placing Reigns first in the champions standings. WWE.
Lesnar had his revenge four months later at the Battleground, but the fight barely started before The Undertaker interfered and attacked the Beast Incarnate.
In the wake of Lesnar's excellent game against WWE Champion Daniel Bryan at the Survivor Series on Sunday, there's good reason to believe that he and Rollins could destroy the house on the biggest stage of the world. Them All.
If Rollins against Lesnar is scheduled for WrestleMania, Rollins may well be the favorite to win the Royal Rumble for the first time in his career.
