BOSTON – The 18-year-old man who was seriously injured a week ago after being dragged into a high-speed vehicle died and the two men arrested for robbery are now being targeted. murder charges, according to the Massachusetts police.
Kemoni Miller died Wednesday morning at the Boston Medical Center, after four days of life-saving care, said spokesman for state police David Procopio.
He was dragged on half a kilometer and suffered a serious head injury when he finally fell out of the car.
Dejon Barnes, 18, and Kenneth Ford, 23, were arrested Sunday night and charged with stealing with their hands in connection with the incident. Procopio said the Suffolk County police and prosecutor, John P. Pappas, will now file a lawsuit against Barnes and Ford for murder.
The two men had innocently pleaded to the leader of the armed robbery during their indictment earlier this week. They were sentenced to a prison term of $ 100,000.

According to the police, Miller was in communication with Barnes about selling an XS smartphone for iPhone and the two had agreed to meet on Nov. 16. They grabbed Miller's phone and lifted the window of the car, blocking it by the arm, and then sped at full speed.
Miller was found lying unconscious on Gallivan Boulevard in Dorchester that night.
Procopio said that police investigators were able to track a series of cell phone records, SMS, witness statements, video footage and other evidence to identify Barnes and Ford as participants. Ford was identified as the driver of the car.
Everyone was arrested at a house party Sunday morning.
