Arrested passenger arrested after witness said he ordered all Jews to raise their hand

A Delta airline passenger was arrested on Wednesday after police reported that he had appeared to be making anti-Semitic comments. One witness said that he told the Jews to "raise their hand" so that he could identify them.

David Toaff, 37, was arrested Wednesday night by local law enforcement as he landed in Atlanta from the Delta 1822 flight that had taken off from Washington, DC.

"Preliminary information indicates that, during the flight to Atlanta, a man began to utter anti-Semitic words to passengers aboard the plane," said Atlanta police in a statement. communicated to NBC News.

Toaff may be Jewish himself, and it is not clear why he asked fleeing Jews to identify themselves. He appeared to be wearing a Jewish prayer shawl, or Tallith, during his arrest.

When he was met by agents after the robbery, he was extremely agitated and insisted, "I am not a bad person." Toaff, apparently scared, referred to a "blue-eyed white man" in the # 39, plane, Trump – he is a Nazi! "Did he tell the officers in a video of the meeting take by fellow passenger Jordan Dale.

Toaff told the police, "I did not do anything wrong. I do not attack anyone.

He was charged with obstruction and disorderly behavior and taken to the county jail, police said.

Toaff's Facebook page includes works by his father, Jerusalem. He also published an article about the deadly murder last month at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.

Two people who said that Toaff had said in an answer to Dale's video on Twitter that he was a "good guy" and a "nice guy", were stunned by what had happened.
