Meet the new Simba!
Disney has just released a first look at the action film of his hit movie in 1994, "The Lion King".
And, yes, we are royally excited.
Directed by Jon Favreau, from the movie "The Jungle Book", the live action movie features an actor of big names who express the beloved characters. They include Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce Knowles-Carter (the legendary singer), as Nala and James Earl Jones, who takes on his role as Mufasa.
Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar), Alfre Woodard (Sarabi), John Oliver (Zazu), Seth Rogen (Pumbaa) and Keegan-Michael Key (Kamari) are also among the creators of this group.
The trailer begins with the familiar phrase of James Earl Jones: "All that light touches our kingdom, but the time and the ruler of the king rise and fall like the sun …" while the animals roam. We heard an excerpt from the classic song "Circle of Life".
These few words uttered by Mufasa constitute the heart of Simba's history and journey.
In the teaser, a cute and cuddly Simba is seen in the iconic moment: it is hoisted by Rafiki and introduced to all Pride Lands animals. The beasts bow.
Can you feel nostalgia tonight? And anticipation?
"The Lion King" should be out in July 2019 and we can not wait!
