A bus carrying a brass band from the University of Washington to the reverse football match

A charter bus carrying dozens of members of the Washington University fanfare to a match played at Washington State University rolled on its side Thursday in an icy highway, officials said.

More than 40 students and staff of the bus were taken for treatment at local hospitals, but no serious injuries were reported, the state's patrol soldier said. Washington, John Bryant, after the Thanksgiving accident.

The bus was one of six men en route for the Apple Cup showdown at Pullman on Friday, when he overturned at 5:26 pm. PT, said Bryant. There were 56 people on board, most members of the Husky band from the University of Washington and squads of minds, according to the school.

Many of the wounded were treated and released.

"The reported injuries were cuts, complaints of general pain and back pain, but injuries are not considered critical," said University of Washington spokesman Victor Balta. "The University is doing everything in its power to ensure the health and safety of our students and staff, and to ensure that they return safely to their trip to Pullman."

The equipment and luggage of the group were then removed from the bus, which was towed Friday around 2 am local time, said Bryant.
