Bill Maher obviously does not try to make friends in the comic book community. After the death of Stan Lee, legend of Marvel Comics, recently deceased at the age of 95, the comedian and political host made controversial comments about Lee and comics in general, questioning the Lee's obsession with work as well saying that only a country obsessed with comics would have elected Donald Trump to the presidency. Now, despite a ton of backlash, Maher doubled his comments.
the Real time guest recently appeared as a guest on Larry King now. During the interview, the subject of Bill Maher's recent comments was discussed. Since his initial statement, Stan Lee's company, Pow! Entertainment issued an answer, calling Maher's outlook "disgusting," while the Internet was tearing a new one. This is what Maher had to say about it.
"Talk about making my point to me: yeah, I do not know too much about Stan Lee and it was definitely not a hit for Stan Lee."
Many have certainly taken this for Stan Lee. At that time, host Larry King intervened saying, "You would have liked it." He was a really nice guy.
