A man shot in a New Jersey shopping mall

The late hours of Black Friday were disrupted in a New Jersey mall on Friday, while a man had been injured by a shot shortly after 8 pm, reported NJ.com.

The man was hit on the wrist in a hallway between Marshalls and Tommy Hilfiger stores at the Mills in Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth, the North Jersey Record reported.

The shooter was not caught and the victim does not cooperate with the authorities, the newspaper reported. City spokeswoman Kelly Martins said her injuries did not seem to be life-threatening.

"No suspects have been apprehended and the victim is not cooperating to identify the suspect," said Elizabeth Mayor Chris Bollwage in a message posted on Facebook. "The police are looking at the camera footage, the mall has been evacuated and all the customers are away, no one is in danger at the moment."

"The fight started when someone was shot in the wrist, the victim was transported to the university hospital with non-life-threatening injuries," Bollwage told WABC. "Currently, the police are reviewing the images and examining the surveillance cameras in an attempt to identify the person who was there."

This was the third incident of gunfire in a mall since Thanksgiving Day. A man was killed and two others injured Thursday in Hoover, Ala., And a few hours later, a person was injured in a shootout at a shopping mall in Memphis, Tennessee.

One woman managed to keep her sense of humor about the New Jersey incident, tweeting that she was "stuck in FootLocker" and "should have been stuck in Victoria's Secret or Burlington .
