Several victims following a shootout in Miami

MIAMI, Florida – Two people have been hospitalized and two others appear to have died at the scene of a shooting incident on Friday night in Brownsville, police said.

Miami-Dade Police Department spokesman Lee Cowart confirmed a shootout in the NW, 27th Avenue and 58th Street areas of a convenience store property.

When the police arrived, they saw a large number of people flee the parking lot.

Police found four victims shot and wounded. Two of them were dead. The other two were taken to a nearby hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.

About two hours after the shooting, two other victims, including an 11-year-old, approached the detectives and claimed to have been seriously injured by gunfire during the shooting. They were treated at the scene of the incident.

There is no information on the shooter at this time.
