The treasures of an ancient Egyptian tomb, which would be over 3,500 years old, were unveiled.

An archaeological mission, affiliated with the French University of Strasbourg, made the discovery of the Assasseef valley near the city of Luxor.

Two sarcophagi each containing a mummy were found. All are in perfect condition.

Archaeological excavations have also discovered about 1,000 funerary statues on the site.

The tomb dates from the 18th dynasty, which extended from 1550 to 1300 BC.

SCA Secretary General Mostafa Waziri said at a press conference Saturday that the team had discovered the discovery after working on the site since March.
