OCALA, Fla. – Police said that a man had shot a woman during a domestic dispute that allegedly took place in the garden center of a Walmart store in North Florida. The Ocala Police Department's Facebook page said the woman had entered the store after the Saturday afternoon shootout, shouting for help.
The store's staff called the police and tried to intervene but the woman died. The man has escaped and the officers are looking for him.
The woman's name has not been published, pending the notification of her family.
WKMG, a CBS affiliate, reports that the incident occurred at Walmart, at 4980 E. Silver Springs Blvd.
No other details were immediately available.
