A man from South Dakota said that he had lost his wallet on a robbery, but that a good Samaritan had sent it to him – and more.
He had gone to Las Vegas for the wedding of his sister, said the man.
"I noticed that I was missing my wallet, which contained $ 60 in cash and a check for about $ 400," Hunter Shamatt said.
Shamatt no longer expected to see the wallet or the money, but he received a package in the mail a few days later with his wallet and a letter.
"Hunter, found this on the Frontier flight connecting Omaha to Denver, row 12, seat F, wedged between the seat and the wall," says the letter.
"I've rounded your money up to $ 100 so you can celebrate the return of your wallet. Have fun," the letter said.
"It meant a lot that he would go out of his way to make a complete stranger. I am still paying back my school loans and I now have truck loans to repay. It really helps, "said Shamatt.
The good Samaritan signed only the letter "TB," but Shamatt said that he had finally discovered the mysterious man and thanked him for his kindness.
