Why not? Texas A & M and LSU faced each other on Saturday in the most memorable match in FBS history. The Aggies took the win with a 74-72 win in the seventh extra. This game had it all, for better or for worse. The Tigers occasionally celebrated an error-prone ceremony, a decisive touchdown that silenced the clock, utterly ridiculous statistics, dubious officials and an impressive touchdown reception by Kendrick Rogers of Texas A & M.
"I lost the minutes report," acknowledged Aggies coach Jimbo Fisher. "… it's the craziest game in the world."
LSU appeared to have finished the match when Aggie Kellen Mond's quarterback launched an interception in under 30 seconds. LSU led 31-24 and the players approached the Tigers coach, Ed Orgeron, for the festive, very premature and ultimately mistaken bath of Gatorade. But wait! Mond's knee was lowered when he took a low snap! It was a loss of eight yards and not a turnover.
The game could have ended, again, two games after the interception of Mond was overthrown while the Aggies faced the 18th and 18th. Mond converts with a pass for Quartney Davis that appeared insufficient, but little yellow line on TV is misleading. In any case, the Aggies have spiked the ball before the game can be reviewed. (These teams will score 91 points!)
Kendrick Rogers made a pass for the first LSU 19 run and the Aggies made a quick pass again. Officials decided that the peak had arrived after the expiration of the time limit, and then decided, after verification, to put a second back to the clock.

"I feel bad for these young men," said Orgeron. "This second should not have been scheduled and I'm sticking to that."
Touchdown, extra point and craziness ensue.
Teams came and went, helping along the way with calls that left both sides scratching their heads, until Rogers got a fourth overtime with one of the best catches on that side of the road. Odell Beckham Jr.
The match ended at 12:33 pm Eastern Time, but not without a little controversy at College Station. LSU had already scored in the seventh OT and A & M scored for a 17-yard touchdown pass from Mond to Davis. The two-point conversion attempt – required by the NCAA rules for all games scored after the third overtime – was incomplete, but LSU's Greedy Williams was reported for pass interference and personal foul. Of course, the two-point attempt was a false start, but Mond then hit Rogers for the decisive goal.
The teams combined for a total of 64 first tries and a total of 1,017 yards. Mond scored six passes and another. Both teams were exhausted, especially Rogers, whose calves were cramped.
"These are the times you live, so no matter what happens with your body, you want to be out there," said Rogers, who caught three passes for 53 yards and two touchdowns. "So, you just have to get out, just fight mentally through."
