Donald Glover presents a trailer for his upcoming movie with Rihanna

In August, Rihanna and Donald Glover were seen together in Cuba, spouting rumors about an impending project. Now, as Stereogum underlines, we know for sure that it is about a future film that would be titled Island guava. Glover presented the trailer at its Childish Gambino PHAROS festival in New Zealand this weekend, and a fan kindly shared it on Twitter.

In the clip, we can see Glover singing and playing the guitar before things get much more intense. The movie trailer also reveals that Black PantherLetitia Wright will play alongside Glover and Rihanna. These details about the film had already been leaked online thanks to the Cuban publication Vistar magazine.

As we could expect, the film is directed by Hiro Murai, who has worked a lot on the fantastic Atlanta as well as a number of Childish Gambino videos. More surprising, though, is that the trailer features the film as "a Childish Gambino movie", perhaps part of what is supposed to be his latest musical project under the name.

The trailer does not confirm if the title is Island guava or not, and that does not give any indication of when to expect it, but it seems that the production could very well have already been completed. If so, expect a release date soon.
