Ringing the Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign bell was a great way for Therese Dehnert, a student at the University of Viterbo, to ring during the holiday season.
"I love giving back to the community a lot and you have the opportunity to get to know your call partner better," said Dehnert, a sophomore in nutrition and dietetics from Apple Valley, Minnesota. , who regularly participates in the Saturdays Service program of the university. .

Dehnert was one of about 150 students and employees in Viterbo who rang the doorbell two hours, from 10 am to 8 pm. November 17. Dehnert, a member of the Viterbo Honors' Program, rang the bells at the Shopko in Onalaska. She was also the organizer of the site.
The numbers for this year's event are not yet available, but Viterbo Rings have raised more than $ 5,000 each in the last two years since the program began.
