WWE Starrcade (11/25) results: AJ Styles faces Samoa Joe in a steel cage, a match for 8 women, MizTV

– Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton commented on tonight's show in Cincinnati, Ohio.

– Elias starts in the ring and plays music for the fans. He asks the crowd who wants to walk with Elias? He then asks if it's better than a performance of Elias and he says no, but he has a very special man who will accompany him tonight, Ric Flair, a member of the WWE Hall of Famer . Flair goes to the ring under a thunderous applause. Flair says he's dying to walk with Elias since he's seen her on TV. Flair said 35 years ago that it was him against Harley Race and that he has the honor of being here and with Elias. Elias says that the only thing to do is to sing and play a little song.

Before Elias can begin, Nia Jax, Tamina, Mickie James and Alicia Fox are out. Elias looks slightly annoyed, but Flair is all smiles as the four Superstars enter the ring. Nia gets on the microphone and says that they wanted to walk with Elias. The crowd hue Nia. Elias says that he's not surprised, Flair replies, "Beautiful women!" and Elias answers: "Easy, Ric." Elias begins the song while he tells Fox to be careful. Elias sings a song with the help of Ric Flair. Nia Jax then intervenes with horribly bad songs, crowd crowds, Elias stops. Nia says that she has declined a registration contract for the WWE, Elias says she has to close her mouth and calls four of her friends here to help her. Sasha Banks, Dana Brooke, Bayley and Ember Moon head for the ring for the 8 women's tag.

Bayley, Sasha Banks, Ember Moon and Dana Brooke vs. Alicia Fox, Mickie James, Nia Jax and Tamina

James and Ember start. James with the strikes, but Ember hits a springboard crossbody and tags to Brooke. Double suplex on James, Brooke is trying to get a two point pin. Brooke with a nudge in the corner, powerslam, splash, cover and James for two. Bayley replies that James runs to Tamina to join her. Bayley dodges a punch and lands to herself, Tamina, with a knock, loose Bayley. Sleeping in the corner of Bayley, Tamina comes home, nobody comes home. Bayley, his knee raised, looks for another one, sent to the apron and running Tamina's neck over the second rope. Jax gets caught, double shoulder on Bayley. The crowd hues Nia while she's going to get a pin, two.

Fox inserts and goes to the inverted chin on Bayley, Fox throws her in the corner and Jax inserts (more boos). Jax throws Bayley on the floor and pulls Ember and Brooke out of the corner. Bayley is trying to make her way from Nia. Nia ends up pulling one of her own partners on the apron. Bayley escapes and settles in Banks. The Fox marks, Banks with a double knee in the corner, his spit, Tamina separates him. Ember with an eclipse on Tamina. James grabs Ember, Brooke, Nia throws her over her shoulder strap. Bayley with a flying elbow at the back of Jax's neck. Fox takes it to Banks, but Banks locks the bank statement for the win.

– Samoa Joe is talking about his next steel cage match against AJ Styles, the definition of madness and how they have had matches over and over again. Joe says that despite his defeats, Styles is the one who keeps leaving the ring with a piece of him missing. Joe goes on to say that Styles is really the crazy guy he's expecting to come out of the steel cage tonight … at all. He reminds Styles to enjoy his friends and family because his time is up.

– Miz is in the ring for tonight's MizTV segment. Miz reminds fans of the history of Starrcade with stars such as Ric Flair, Harley Race, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Lex Luger and Dusty Rhodes. Miz presents Shinsuke Nakamura, WWE US Champion, and Rey Mysterio. Mysterio takes out his corset thanks to Randy Orton's attack on SmackDown last week.

Miz asks Mysterio why he is at the show and not at home. Mysterio says that he's here because Starrcade has a special place in his heart because Mysterio had the opportunity to see Superstars for the first time (Sting, Ric Flair and Eddie Guerrero). Crowd with an "Eddie!" song. Mysterio goes on to say that it is important for him to leave a piece of history here by beating Nakamura tonight. Miz stirs things up a bit and then asks Nakamura to say how he feels about what Mysterio said. Nakamura responds, "arcade?" Miz says, "No, Starrcade, do not you know about Starrcade?" Nakamura says that he is aware of the event, but does not care and does not care about Mysterio either.

Mysterio gets a little heated, Miz reminds Mysterio that it was not him who cost the SmackDown team to Survivor Series. Mysterio makes fun of Miz's slogan "When My Hands Stand Up" and then talks to Nakamura. Miz is disturbed by all sorts of things by Mysterio and Nakamura gets some low shots, then tears off Mysterio's splint. Miz calls a referee and another spell.

Nakamura will immediately fetch Mysterio's neck with knees. Nakamura sends Mysterio to the carpet, looking for kinshasa, but Mysterio returns him for a blanket, two counts. Nakamura with another shot that drops Mysterio. Nakamura places Mysterio on the top rope, knees to the abdomen. Mysterio recovers, knocks Nakamura down, baseball slide. Mysterio looks for a sitting sentry and eventually hits Miz instead of Nakamura. Back in the ring, Mysterio with a sentinel sitting. Nakamura is put in position for the 619, but Miz catches Mysterio on the floor and the referee launches the match. Nakamaura and Miz launch into a ground Mysterio while Rusev rushes to save the situation. He sends Miz out of the ring, then Nakamura.

Winner: Rey Mysterio via DQ (Nakamura retains the title)

– After the match, Lana arrives and asks the fans if they want to see a tag match, that's what they do, and we get a tag match!

Rusev and Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz and Shinsuke Nakamura

Miz and Nakamura decide that it is not worth it and head backwards, that Rusev and Mysterio pursue and bring them back to the ring. Miz and Nakamura are both sent into the ring and get beaten a bit in the corners. Mysterio ends up sending Miz to the ropes, looking for 619, but Nakamura breaks it and goes to work on Mysterio, trying a two-step lapel pin. Miz is scarred and makes fun of Rusev while he kicks at Mysterio. Mysterio tries to defend himself, but kicks his face. Miz makes fun of Rusev again. Nakamura scores, distracts the referee a bit as Miz moves away from Mysterio, to the cover, on two.

Mysterio finally starts to fight back, kicks Nakmura and tries to find Rusev's path. Nakamura slows him down, Mysterio with an enziguri, tags to Rusev. He meets Miz with some clotheslines, a kick in the heel, tries a machka kick, no, an overwhelming final for the skull, no, Rusev with a round kick, a blanket, two. Rusev sought the honors, Nakamura mingled, Miz with the skull crushing the final, blanket, Mysterio records the game. Mysterio with a boot at Miz, the hurricane sends Miz in the ropes (and Nakmura). Mysterio with a 619 to Miz and Nakamura, Rusev with a machka kick to Miz, cover, 1-2-3.

Samoa Joe vs AJ Styles (Steel Cage Match)

Joe immediately attacks Styles, tries to throw Styles' head into the cage, Styles blocks her and hits Joe. Styles tries to send Joe into the cage, no, the two exchange chops. Styles hits his opponent, Joe finds himself in the corner, splashed Styles, tries to lift Joe, Nope, Styles with a DDT backflip, covers, Joe with a foot on the lower rope. Styles tries to climb on top of the cage, Joe catches one foot, but gets kicked, Styles jumps from the curtain, gets caught and Joe hits an overhead belly overhang!

Styles recovers, hits a tornado DDT using the turnbuckle. Attempts to confront styles and counters Joe with a monkey return, sending styles into the cage, kicking, executing a sentinel, covering, counting, counting. Joe sits Styles on the upper turnbuckle, Joe looks for the muscle that escapes him, Styles fights that, hits a cutting block on Joe's knee and he walks away from Joe's punctured knee. Styles charge and is sent directly to the carpet on the back. Joe favoring his knee while Styles looks for the calf crusher on Joe. Joe is trying to catch the rope, but that will not help, Joe ends up typing Styles.
