Patriots receiver Josh Gordon was indefinitely suspended on Thursday for "multiple violations" of NFL drug policy, according to the NFL Ian Rapoport. Gordon's drug offenses were for "more than marijauna", by Rapoport.

Gordon announced Thursday that he would be moving away from football to temporarily focus on his mental health. The news of his suspension came soon after.

Thursday's ban is not Gordon's first suspension for breaking the League's drug policy. Gordon missed the 2015 and 2016 seasons due to the suspension.

The Baylor product was sold in Cleveland, New England in September. Gordon has recorded 40 receptions and three touchdowns in 11 games with the Patriots before Thursday's suspension.
