The CTA offers free walks on New Year's Eve; Uber, Lyft offering discounts

The CTA offers free rides for New Year's Eve.

You can browse the CTA for free between 22h and 17h. and 4 in the morning. You do not need to use your Ventra card, but a warning: if you use your card inadvertently, you will still have to pay a regular fee, so be careful.

And there are other transportation deals for the New Year. The first 4,000 Uber runners can get a discount using code: MLNYE18. There is also a discount code for Lyft: JDNYE18.
