Cardi B is an open social media book, posting daily news stories for his fans on Instagram – the same ones that helped the rapper secure the number 1 spot on the Billboard board when his debut album, "Invasion of Privacy", came in April.
But there are some life events that she chose to keep private, at least temporarily. When rumors ran that she was pregnant, she waited for months, wearing concealed clothing before finally making the revelation in a slinky dress during a performance on "Saturday Night Live" in April.
However, his commitment to the father of his child, Migos Group rapper Offset, seemed like a public affair. In October, Cardi, born Belcalis Almanzar, fanned out and showed himself overwhelmed while Offset, whose first name is Kiari Cephus, got on his knees and presented a ring on stage during from a concert in Philadelphia.
It turns out that this moment was at least partly for the show, because the couple was already married.
Cardi, 25, announced on Twitter Monday afternoon that she's secretly married Offset in September without a ring or dress. The rapper's album features some songs with semi-marital titles like "I Do" and "Ring". The clip of her song "Be Careful" sees Cardi in a wedding dress, but when she goes to church to meet her fiance, he is in a coffin.
Fans have speculated that the song was inspired by Offset allegedly cheating on the rapper.
Cardi is from the Bronx but owns a home in Edgewater and currently resides in Offset's native Georgia.
"That's why I name my album" Invasion of Privacy "because people will do the most stories about your life," tweeted Cardi, sharing a statement on marriage. Her announcement follows a TMZ report that Cardi and Offset obtained a marriage certificate in September in Fulton County, Georgia, despite Cardi's numerous claims that she was getting married after giving birth to her husband. baby.
The report also highlighted the fact that Offset thanked Cardi as "my wife" at Sunday's BET Awards when Migos won the best group. Cardi won the award for best female hip-hop artist and a public award for her song "Bodak Yellow". (SZA from Maplewood won the best new artist.)

"There are so many moments that I share with the world and then there are times that I want to keep for myself!" Cardi said in the declaration. "Getting married was one of those times, our relationship was so new and we had a lot of things to do, but we were so in love that we did not want to lose each other."
She added that she and Offset woke up one day in September and spontaneously decided to tie the knot. The only witness to their union was Cardi's cousin.
"I said I did it, without a dress, without makeup and without a ring!" she says. Cardi explained the public proposition that followed saying that it was Offset's way of giving him "that special moment that every girl dreams of", complete with a ring.
"Well, now that you do not know (sic), you know at least that you can stop saying I've had a baby out of wedlock," she says. Her baby, a girl, is expected in July.
Cardi, a former stripper and former star of the VH1 reality series "Love & Hip Hop: New York", gained national fame for her song "Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)", which spent three weeks in Billboard Hot 100 last fall. She is currently # 2 with her song "I Like It", starring Bad Bunny and J Balvin, from her album "Invasion of Privacy". She is also featured in # 5 as a featured artist in Maroon 5's "Girls Like You".
