Director Shane Black aims to relaunch stagnation Predator franchise with a brand new movie in which the terrifying hunter transforms his terror into a suburban landscape. Check out the brand new trailer The predator above before the film hits the screens on September 14th.
From the confines of space to the small streets of the suburbs, hunting returns to the explosive reinvention of Shane Black's Predator series. Now, the most murderous hunters in the universe are stronger, smarter and more lethal than ever, have genetically improved with the DNA of other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a motley crew of ex-soldiers and a dissatisfied science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
The series began in 1985 with the Arnold Schwarzenegger-featured Predator who saw mercenaries heading to Guatemala, only to be confronted with the terrifying alien as he hunted them down and brutally killed them one by one. The film spawned two sequels and two movies in which the Predator faced off against xenomorphs from the Extraterrestrial franchise, even if none of these follow-up films equaled the success of the original company.
For this new movie, Black has found himself trying to reinvigorate the franchise by bringing it in new directions while honoring the classic formula of the series.
"Well, I think there's a basic premise that must be respected every time you make a Predator movie and that in some way, no matter what the plot, it has to at one level, to represent a hunt, but beyond that, I think there is infinite variability, "Black shared with collider. "It's like the monkey bars, you play in the jungle gym when you were a kid, it looks like they're stiff and hard and it would be hard to play on those things because they're not going to play." they are so rough, but if you go inside them, there is actually a lot of room to move around, you just know the borders are there from time to time. "
The predator Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Yvonne Strahovski and Jake Busey.
The predator arrives in theaters on September 14th.
