Spotify's music streaming service has hired former CW entertainment president Dawn Ostroff to become its new content manager, reports Variety.
"Ostroff, who was previously President of Entertainment at Conde Nast, will be based at Spotify's New York office and will lead all aspects of his content partnerships through music, audio and video," reports Variety.
The report adds: "Stefan Blom, former content director of Spotify, came out of the music and telecommunications industry and left the company in January after a largely unsuccessful stint to the video. Tom Calderone joined the group as a leader in content partnerships in March 2016. Calderone left only 15 months later [Spotify’s] the original video shows, including the "Traffic Jams" produced by Russell Simmons, failed. "
Ostroff was with the CW from 2006, when the network started, until 2011.
