After 41 years, Mark Hamill appeared on the screen as Luke Skywalker in George Lucas' original Star wars, the actor thinks of the end of Star Wars: The Last Jedi reflects the world today. After saying goodbye to Luke last year The last Jedi, Hamill referred to this new link between the movie and the real world "tragic."
Over four decades, Hamill portrays Luke Skywalker in four feature films, plus a small portion of the force awakens. His last representation of the character was in Rian Johnson's division The last Jedi, in which Luke has exchanged his traditional characteristics of hope and idealism for apathy and isolation. In the film, Rey (played by Daisy Ridley) desperately tries to convince Luke to train him, while Kylo Ren (played by Adam Driver) and the rest of the First Order chase the remaining members of the Resistance. Luke Is Finally agree to train Rey, but eventually lose his own life in the process while helping the Resistance to wait for the time for their escape. Now, after thinking about the many years that he has spent as a character, Hamill has achieved a depressing realization that connects all the way to the original Wars of the stars.

Speaking with IGNHamill reflected on the way the world was as it was in the late 1970s compared to what it is today. He explained that when he originally took on the role of Luke, he was as idealistic as the character; and even though he never considered himself a method actor, he could not help using a somewhat methodical approach to his performance playing Luke. When he read Lucas's script, he compared his message to a general feeling of "peace and love," referring to the Beatles as supporters and representatives of this global idea. That said, his looks have changed since, referring to his generation as "failure" and society as "Unquestionably worse now than then." He said:
"It's tragic, I'm not a method actor, but one of the techniques that an actor will use is to try and use real life experiences." to relate to any fictional scenario in which he is involved.Because of the scenario I read, it was that I was from the generation of Beatles – "You have need of love, "" peace and love ".I thought at the time, when I was a teenager:" By the time we are in power there will be Meme it no more war, there will be no racial discrimination, and the pot will be legal. So, I'm one for three. [my generation is] a failure. The world is undoubtedly worse now than it was at the time. "
Although Hamill reflects on the negative connection between real life and Star warshe generally has a much more positive personality on social media. The actor actively engages with his followers on his Twitter account, and although most of his tweets are often politically charged, his approach is usually mild. Even his description "About me" says, "Believe in yourself, work hard, never give up and everything is possible! OR: Go back, relax and aim low: you will never be disappointed …"
And despite the fact that Hamill does not consider himself a method actor, his original and most recent performances by Luke are related to his off-camera personality of the moment.
