The body of a music producer was found Tuesday in a Fair Lawn home owned by New York Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins.
The dead was identified Tuesday night as Roosevelt Rene, 25, a friend of the Jenkins family.
Jenkins, a native of Florida, would have been in this state since the Giant's mini-camp broke up earlier this month.
Rene produced music under the name Trypps Beatz and many fans took Twitter Tuesday night to show their condolences.
How René is dead has not yet been determined, and is awaiting an autopsy by the Bergen County Medical Examiner's Office, authorities said.
Public records show that René has already lived in Dallas, Georgia, and in Spring Valley, N.Y.
Jenkins was a second-round pick by St. Louis Rams in 2012 and has been with the Giants since 2016, when he was selected to the Pro Bowl. He also raps under the name of Rabbit during his absence from football.
TMZ reported that René's body was discovered in the basement by a worker at home.

Jenkins bought the house for $ 500,000 in 2016, public records show.
"The Major Crime Unit of the Bergen County Attorney's Office and the Fair Lawn Police Department Investigate a Death [Jenkins’ residence], "Acting Attorney Dennis Calo said in a statement.
Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network reported that police sources told him that the police were investigating the death as "possible strangulation / suffocation".

Sergeant Brian Metzler of the Fair Lawn Police said the police were called home at 10:22 and members of the Bergen County Attorney's Office and the Bergen County Sheriff's Office were also on site.
Metzler declined to give details about the investigation, but said the police had never been called to Jenkins' house in the past.
A neighbor at the scene, who identified himself only as Debbie, said Jenkins lives at home with his brother. She said that she never had any problem with one or the other and was shocked when she heard that the body had been found at home.
Investigators were seen digging through the contents of a white Lexus sedan with Florida plates in the driveway as well as a Land Rover. They also removed several small brown paper bags from the house and loaded them into an unidentified prosecutor's office SUV.
The detectives from the prosecutor's office left the house around 9 pm and only a marked Fair Lawn font remained on the scene.
The giants said that they were aware of the situation.
