The future of Bella Thorne Famous in love is in the air.
On Tuesday, the actress responded to a report that the Freeform show in which she had been canceled after two seasons.
"If that's how I find out that our show is canceled … I'm going to be so angry," twept Thorne, 20, in response.
"Freeform very hurtful," she wrote. "I would have liked a phone call maybe."
Reps for Freeform drama – a series of books that have been adapted for television by the team behind Pretty Little Liars – told people that a cancellation is not confirmed and that no decision has been taken yet.
Thorne plays Paige Townsen in the series, created in April 2017 and created by I. Marlene King and Rebecca Serle.
The plot focuses on a student who is chosen to play in a big film franchise, and all the madness that accompanies it.
"I identify with her in many ways," Thorne told PEOPLE in 2015. "She's caught up in this tough world with paparazzi and the media and all the rest, and she's struggling to deal with it.
"It's something that I've treated and it's hard," she said. "I like that we see her whole."
