The doctors at Jackson Hospital in Alabama removed a giant cyst from a woman who was not losing weight and who was suspected of being pregnant with twins. The woman had a mucinous cystadenoma.

An Alabama woman who was suffering from stomach problems and unexplained weight gain has turned out to have a giant cyst in her body.
Do not lose weight and look like she was pregnant
Kayla Rahn said that she was having trouble with her daily activities because of the massive mass of tissue, making her feel exhausted even after walking to his car.
She was initially advised by doctors that she just needed to lose weight but her efforts were useless. She seemed to gain weight even after about a year of trying to lose weight.
She recounted that she appeared to be nine months pregnant. Someone even asked her if she had twins.
When the pain became overwhelming, Rahn's mother took her to the Jackson Hospital Emergency Department. A series of tests revealed that she had a large mass in one of her ovaries
The next day, May 26, doctors performed a surgical procedure during which they extracted The 50-pound ovarian cyst
Gregory Jones, one of the doctors who performed the operation, said that he has already seen this but he was still surprised by the massive size of the cyst.
"It's one of the biggest I've ever seen or removed," Jones said. "We are very excited things went well for her."
Mucinous cystadenoma
Rahn had a mucinous cystadenoma. Mucinous cystadenoma is a benign cystic tumor that accounts for 15 to 20% of all ovarian tumors. They tend to get very big and can extend to the abdomen.
Rahn's cyst was not detected for months, but now that the root of her illnesses has finally disappeared, she said she was excited to return to work. She also said that she felt that a huge burden had been taken away from her.
"Thanks to our incredible doctors at Jackson Hospital for their help," Jackson Hospital said in a statement. "After Dr. Sample made the discovery, Dr. Seirafi and Dr. Jones managed to remove the cyst and feel much better."
Jones encouraged everyone to talk about problems to his doctor being persistent if they suspect something is wrong.
Rahn's case is similar to that of Kevin Daly. Everyone thought that his big belly was only the belly of the beer, but it turned out to be a tumor the size of a beach ball and weighed 30 pounds. The doctors had to remove one of his kidneys because the tumor was wrapped in his organs.
