Backstreet Boys joined Jimmy Fallon and the Roots on Thursday Tonight Show to perform their signature tube "I Want It That Way" using class instruments.

The mega-group crammed into a harmonious cloakroom on the 1999 single, building a massive percussion section with shakers, wood blocks, triangles and tambourines. The Roots has expanded the track with xylophone, ukulele and melodica.

The band also closed the episode with a live version of their recently released single "Do not Go Breaking My Heart", using the choreography to interpret the ocean waves of broken words and hearts . The song is the first preview of the ninth LP of the quintet, a follow-up of 2013 In a World Like This . The singers are exploring the country's influences on the album, which is scheduled this fall.

AJ McLean's group will be participating in an upcoming documentary about the impresario Lou Pearlman, The Lou Pearlman Project to be airing later this year on YouTube Red.
