Famous in love took his last bow to Freeform; Bella Thorne's drama will not return for a third season, TVLine confirmed.
Despite the series' cancellation reports earlier this week, an official decision was made on Friday. Below is the official statement from Freeform, obtained by TVLine:

After many discussions, we made the difficult decision of not not repeat the show for a third season, we would like to thank our colleagues at Warner Horizon and our incredible producers, writers, actors and team members, especially Marlene King, for their creativity, hard work and dedication. "
According to Rebecca Serle's series of books, in Love followed the exploits of a young actress named Paige Townsen (played by Thorne) who gets the lead role in Locked a movie based on a novel of supernatural love. Directed by Marlene King – including the new Freeform series Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists is scheduled for premiere in 2019 – the drama also played Charlie DePew, Georgie Flores, Jenkins Carter, Keith Powers, Niki Koss, Pepi Sonuga and Perrey Reeves
The final of the season last month – which must now serve as the series finale – is over with Jordan (played by Powers) rushing to rescue Tangey (Sonuga) from his abusive boyfriend / musical partner (played by Romeo Miller).
