This week, the Spartans have now managed to recruit five rookies over the past two days and six overall this week, while Michael Fletcher, the 3-star defensive striker, has verbally committed in the state of Michigan. Me and my family spoke and [they] supported me [throughout] all this decision. After long nights and prayer, I made a decision. I am very excited to announce my commitment to MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY.
Fletcher's 6-foot-5, 240-pound has received bids from some of the most prestigious college football schools, such as Alabama, Georgia, Wisconsin and Michigan. He has also received offers from Purdue, Minnesota, Iowa and the state of Iowa, among others.
Fletcher is Michigan's No. 11 ranked prospect in the 2019 category, the defensive front ranked 394 overall, according to the 247Sports composite rankings in 2019.
With commitment of Fletcher, the 2019 class of the State of Michigan currently ranks 17th in the nation and 3rd among the Big Ten
