The singer of the Queen of the Stone Age, Josh Man, was an intimate friend of the late leader and travel television personality, Anthony Bourdain. Man co-wrote the theme of CNN's "Parts Unknown" broadcast of Bourdain and appeared in an episode of the previous issue "No Reservations". In a sketch of the latter, Bourdain goes to Man while he plays the guitar and sings, grabbing the guitar and smashing it against a tree. The scene apparently made Camille's daughter, very unhappy, as told in a story shared by Man today.
"Tony, I miss you, once Camille was so mad at you, she was defending me, and you too," he wrote on Twitter. "And you, with great care, such empathy, such sweetness … You have been excused from a little girl who defended her dad." Find the note of the Man and the letter of Bourdain below. The guitar-smashing clip can be found in the video below, around the 0:13 mark.
