Tiger Woods is back this week for the first time since he missed the cup at the US Open
The Major Champion 14 times participates in Quicken Loans National at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm. , an event it's organizing just outside of Washington, DC Tiger shot a par 72 even on Thursday, a 15-par turn, two birdies and a double-bogey. He rebounded Friday, shooting a 65 under 65 to climb the standings in the fight.
Woods played the event in 2015 when it was held at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia. He finished in 18th place. He missed the cup the year before.
Woods sucks at 12:25. AND alongside Joel Dahmen. Follow along for the shot-by-shot analysis of his second round.
Hole 7 – By 4
Tiger spelled out 3-wood from the tee and pleaded for his golf ball to fly, and that's exactly what he did. Landing on the right side of the fairway, Tiger's ball went for a ride and goes to the center of the short stuff. He brought his A-game today, people. His approach with pitching corner lands behind the hole, but turns back, leaving for a fourth big birdie eye shot in a row. Another (DJ Khaled voice). Four birdies in a row. A blow of the head. 3-under thru 7 (8 under the tournament)
Hole 6 – Par 4
Grip it. Tear it. Turn it on. Tiger smoked his driver and really feels him after a big boguey on number 1. He's called right now. His approach lands on the green court and left, but rolls in 8 feet once again for a third straight birdie. He took his time reading this one and it pays. Three birdies in a row, two strokes behind, 2-under thru 6 (7-under for the tournament).
Hole 5 – Par 4
Another iron from the tee and another fairway for TW. Its corner in the green is just like the last hole, a little to the left of the cup, but well in the birdie range. Back-to-back would be huge here for Tiger. From about six feet, Tiger sinks the putt, it's two in a row, 1-under thru 5 (6-under for the tournament).
Hole 4 – By 4 [19659009] Much better here on the tee for Tiger with iron. He plays the hole perfectly, starting on a slope and letting it go to the center of the fairway. His pitching pitch from 150 is just as good, just land short and left of the hole and make a few meters back for a good chance of birdie. Chirp-chirp-chirp. Tiger sinks the putt for birdie, returning to even through 4 (5 cents for the tournament).
Hole 3 – Par 3
It's a beautiful day for the beach! Tiger's tee shot finished in the bunker, and his outing is good, not great, running along the contours of the green. There was some time left for parity but Tiger played the break perfectly and dropped the putt. Useful tips. 1-through 3 (4 sous for the tournament).
Break in the Action Made Fun
Tiger today uses a custom camouflage bag, created by Monster Energy, exclusively for this third round at the National Quicken Loans in support of L & D. Initiative of the military camouflage day of the tournament.
Tiger will autograph the bag and then auction it on Charity Buzz. The profits benefit his charity, the TGR Foundation. The auction is currently underway and will remain open to bid until July 10, 2018. Place your bid here!
Hole 2 – By 5
Driver on the number 2 for Tiger and once again he loses this one a little fair. At 270 meters from the sea, Tiger stood up and left for his second shot, but found the green bunker. Tiger came out clean and rolled within 8 feet of the birdie cup. The putt misses just left, leaving a par-tape. 1 to 2 (4 under the tournament)
Hole 1 – By 4
And we left! Tiger goes 3-wood from the tee and misses this one a bit to the right. It is in the raw state, but it is not so bad. Oh my boy … this one was not good. He pitched this from the rough and flew well over the green. He has trouble with No. 1. His throw was pretty good given the circumstances, but his putt about 12 feet ended in a boguey. 1-through thru 1 (4-under for the tournament).
