Drake's Scorpion broke records of one-day streaming on Apple Music and Spotify, with the rapper's new double album for the most-broadcast week in the history of charts
Scorpion easily crushed The record-breaking one day Apple Music – previously owned by Drake More Life – with 170 million streams worldwide in his first 24 hours broadcast, The Associated Press reports; More Life accumulated 89.9 million streams on the service when it was released in March 2017.
On Spotify, Scorpion tracks recorded more than 132 million flow in its first 24 hours, and all 25 tracks of Scorpion appear among the top 41 spots on the Top 200 Worldwide Spotify chart; The first opus "Non-Stop" attracted 9.2 million streams.
Factoring in Other Music Services and Scorpion is on track to break the record for most streams in a week. Beerbongs & Bentleys recorded earlier this year when this album opened at Number One thanks in part to 431 courses of water.
Thanks to Scorpion's oversized title list the double album – A Side is dedicated to hip-hop while B Side focuses on R & B – could reach a billion streams in its first week of broadcast. Verge reports.
