If you thought that the heat of yesterday was brutal, today 's temperatures are even worse: it will be as hot as 107 degrees, forecasters say.
An excessive heat warning is in effect for parts of the state, from 8 am Sunday to 8 pm. Monday, as temperatures rise in the late 90s later this morning coupled with high humidity. The rest of New Jersey, like Sussex, Salem and Cumberland counties, is the subject of a heat advisory, with temperatures in the mid-90s.
While the forecasts will be in the 90s, high humidity levels in some areas, said the National Weather Service.
According to forecasters, this dangerously hot weather will not give up until the middle of next week. The Mount Holly National Weather Service predicts that the heat will weigh on the state at least until Tuesday and continue until Wednesday.
