A new study showed that we wash our hands in the wrong way during cooking 97% of the time, which could later point the table and food cooked with bacteria and dangerous diseases.
Most consumers tend to forget to wash their hands with soap for at least 20 seconds. This is the desired amount of time that has been recommended or fixed by the CDC, which states that less germs are washed out if one washes one's hand for a shorter period.
The researchers also observed that participants involved in the study did not dry their hands using a clean towel after washing them.
For the study, about 383 participants were submitted with 6 different cuisines, said the USDA.
The study found that participants had a bad hand washing practice was cross-contaminated.
