Netflix Introduces Perhaps a New Level of Superior Service

Known as the Ultra, the new level would allow four devices to receive Ultra HD video and audio streams simultaneously, according to the Italian Tutto blog Android.

Netflix currently has three subscription plans: $ 7.99 basic, $ 10.99 serial and $ 13.99 premium. Basic allows users to watch Netflix on one screen at a time; The standard allows viewing on two screens; and Premium allows four screens. The screens can be TVs, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

"We are constantly testing new things at Netflix and these tests usually vary in duration," said Smita Saran, spokesperson for Netflix. "In this case, we are testing slightly different price points and features to better understand how Netflix appreciates consumers."

Not all Netflix subscribers will see the test and the company will never offer price points or features tested. Saran says.

The Ultra plan may affect some aspects of the current Premium plan, according to PhoneArena. Some Italian users say that Netflix's "promotional material" indicates that the new plan would halve the number of screens that Premium users can use simultaneously from four to two, reports PhoneArena. Similarly, the standard plan can be downgraded to a single display.

Ultra would cost € 16.99 in Italy. That's about $ 19.80
