The manager told the employee with his son's help for life to turn to work

A devastated mother from Michigan, whose son is in intensive care, revealed that her boss had told her that it was "not a reason" to ask for the day off.

Crystal Reynolds Fisher shared screenshots Her boss, Dawn, said Saturday that she would not be able to work at PS Food Mart before her son received life support.

Instead of responding with empathy, Dawn replied, "It's not like that we do things, so I'll agree that you quit."

Reynolds Fisher told her supervisor that she was giving him a notice 48 hours, but his boss remained impassive

The PS Food Mart owner, Folk Oil Co., posted a message on Facebook Monday.

"We would like to follow up on the issue that has come to our attention recently with respect to how an employee's leave request was handled by one of our managers," the message read "We investigated and found that the situation was poorly managed and without the compassion we value as a business.
