Mihaela Buzarnescu of Romania became the first player to take a place in the third round of Wimbledon.

Buzarnescu, 29th seeded, defeated Katie Swan of Great Britain 6-0, 6-3, winning the match with a reverse winner on Court No. 3. She was joined in the third round a few minutes later by American Madison Keys, 10th seed, who sent Luksika Kumkhum, of Thailand, 6-4, 6-3.

Buzarnescu makes his first appearance at the Swan Lawn Grand Slam, ranked 204th, has been awarded a wild-card for the tournament.

Keys reached the quarterfinals in 2015, but lost in the second round last year.

The 13th seeded Raonic defends John Millman Australia, while it is trying to reach the third round for a sixth consecutive year. He lost the 2016 final to Andy Murray and reached the quarterfinals last year.

Roger Federer and Serena Williams are both back on Wimbledon's central court on Wednesday as they look to move on to the third round.

Federer will play Lukas Lacko of Slovakia while he continues his quest for a ninth record title at the All England Club. Williams will then face Bulgarian Viktoriya Tomova for a 16th consecutive match at the tournament, after missing last year while she was pregnant.

Australian Open champion Caroline Wozniacki and last year's Men's Vice Champion, Marin Cilic action as they try to avoid more disturbances at the tournament. Three of the top ten seeds lost in the first round, while former champions Maria Sharapova and Petra Kvitova also left on Tuesday.

Forecasts predict a sunnier sky, although there is a 30 percent chance of afternoon showers.
