Erick Young announced his top three schools last night and they did not include Texas A & M football. Apparently it was a joke as he committed to Aggies today.
Is there such a thing as July 4 Fools? Perhaps in the mind of a 4-star 2019 prospect. Texas A & M had been the favorite to face Erick Young, the 4-star corner half of Fort Bend Bush
He went from 75% at LSU on February 1st at 93% at A & M on March 1st and there has not been any other school since. Last night, he still had 17 prognoses in favor of Texas A & M on the 247sports crystal balloon screenings.
Despite all this, he announced his first three on Twitter Tuesday, the day before his intention to announce the choice
It had to be a fantastic troll job that fooled this writer. I posted this about his top 3 this morning. Oops.
Young joins a 2019 recruiting class stacked. # GigEmGang19 remains No. 2 in the standings and is getting closer and closer to Alabama for first place. In fact, if the Aggies have three more chances, they will race, they will overtake Alabama.
Young is the 105th national player and the 14th in Texas. Bobby Wolfe announced his commitment to Texas A & M yesterday, giving the Aggies their first half corner in the class. They already have 5-star security Brian Williams and 4-star safety Demani Richardson in the class. Young made a complete secondary start caliber in a class
All of these players were at the 7-on-7 Opening finale this weekend, and maybe Young designed the plan to play this little joke.
Welcome to Aggieland, Young. We can not wait to see what you and the rest of this stacked secondary can do on Kyle Field
