Venom from Sony published two new images of the film, one starring Eddie Brock and the other with a new look at the Symbiote. In addition, Tom Hardy took the time to discuss why he took on the role, which may or may not be related to the freshness of the Symbiote. The first trailer of Venom was released earlier this year and Marvel fans were not very satisfied with what they saw. However, a new trailer as well as some interesting TV spots helped to intensify the excitement.
When asked why he wanted to assume the role of Venom Tom Hardy revealed that everything was down. Look. He does not really care what everyone thinks, noting that the character looks the coolest of any of Marvel's other characters, which is debatable. He also says that he likes the "brazen swagger" of the character. Hardy explains:
"As far as the Marvel characters are concerned, I have to say for myself, Venom looks the coolest, but it seems to me a bit superficial.
Tom Hardy's son is a big fan of Venom and comics, so he was able to help his father learn more about the story of Marvel Comics, another reason why Hardy wanted to assume this role is that he sees an aspect of "tragic clown" to the character of Eddie Brock.Hardy hints that Brock will come soon to enjoy his transformation after not wanting it at the beginning.
"There's a tragic clown element, which I find funny and harmonious with some of the work I'd like to do. There's something fun under the circumstances to have a gift but it's a good thing. Is a tragic gift.It is a superpower that you do not really want, but at the same time, you love it, you feel special, it's a reluctant hero and an anti-hero.
Venom director Ruben Fleischer compared the characters to a werewolf movie. He said, "We talked a lot about a werewolf and what it is when you're infected or bitten by a werewolf, "which makes sense since we're seeing the transformation happen, just like a werewolf or Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde-type situation." In the end, Fleischer says that the story is about two people who have to work together in a "symbiotic relationship." He says, "Usually a human gets hold of powers or an extraterrestrial comes from space and must understand how to live on our Earth, but it really is a relationship between two people who must work together to create this hybrid symbiotic relationship. "
Tom Hardy continued to talk about trying to find the right voices for Eddie Brock and Venom for the movie, declared He thought of a Ren and Stimpy situation. Although he's joking, Hardy talked about separating the voices to give separate changes. He explains:
"It's a bit like Ren and Stimpy you know, they have different sounds, I've always seen Venom look like a James Brown lizard, and Eddie Brock is kind of … I do not know, a guy everyday, but he inherited this huge ego, this beast. "
The voice of Eddie Brock is certainly very different from the voice of Venom [19659003] as evidenced by the promotional material. We will see a new kind of hero when Venom will be released on October 5th. You can check out the new movie pictures below, provided by Entertainment Weekly.
