The Brazilian plastic surgeon nicknamed "Dr. BumBum" was kidnapped this week – five days after he went on the run after the death of one of his patients who died after a procedure for enlarge it, according to a new report.
Dr. Denis Cesar Barros Furtado was arrested Thursday in an office complex located in the Barra de Tijuca neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, the TIME agency reported. His mother, Maria de Fatima Barros, who worked with him, was also arrested.

A judge issued a warrant for the arrest of 45-year-old celebrity on homicide charges – but he reportedly disappeared. Cops arrested his girlfriend, Renata Fernandes Cirne, suspected of taking part in the proceedings.
Furtado, who appeared on Brazilian television, had nearly 650,000 subscribers on his Instagram account since deleted and an active Facebook page filled with … and-after shots of butt enlargement procedures.
But Niveo Steffen, president of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery, told AFP that he believed "Dr. BumBum" was not entirely legitimate, saying that there was a "growing invasion of non-specialists" in the industry.
Furtado told reporters gathered at the police station Thursday that he was innocent of any wrongdoing. In a video broadcast by Brazil's G1 news portal, Furtado said: "A fatality has occurred – a fatality that could happen to any doctor."
His lawyer, Naiara Baldanza, stated in a statement that "any finding regarding the death of Lilian Calixto and my client's responsibility for this fatality is premature."
